difference between waterproof and water resistant​

waterproof means something when comes in contact with water does not make the thing wet.

whereas, water resistance means that something is resistant to water

waterproof means ...if a material comes with contact with the water and the water wouldn't absorb it... without making any effect...is know as waterproof..


it is same as water resistant. .
