There are many but few big ones are

>> Generally WCH’s happen after every 2 years whereas Olympic once every 4 years. >> WCH’s have more athletes so the level of competition is quite different as compared to Olympics as in Olympics only the best athletes can compete at the highest level

>> because of these reasons Olympics is considered a pinnacle of any athlete’s career

Answer:

Difference between world championships and Olympics

  • In contrast to other multi-sport competitions, like the Olympic Games, host towns are not required to build new venues or facilities for the World Games.
  • Rather than the National Olympic Committees or other national governing bodies, the athletes are chosen by the international federations of the respective sports.
  • An Olympic winner is just that an Olympic winner. The 33 sports that make up the Olympics are each managed by a federation, and because of this, these federations can organize their world championships on the opposite calendar year from the Olympics, some every two years and some every four.
  • At these competitions, they also name global champions.
