The synapse consists of: a presynaptic ending that contains neurotransmitters, mitochondria and other cell organelles. a postsynaptic ending that contains receptor sites for neurotransmitters. a synaptic cleftor space between the presynaptic and postsynaptic endings.

hey mate,

A neurone has three main parts cell body, dendritic, and axon. starting from dendrites, dendrites are fibrous projection of cell body. the axon is a long finer, the distal end of which is branched. Each branch terminate as a bulb like sturcture called synaptic knob, which prossess synaptic vesicle containing chemical called neurotransmitters. the axon transmit nerve impulses away from the cell body to a synapse or a neurons muscular junction.

Synapse in the region between 2 neurons through which electronic protential or nerve impulse get transferred from one neuron to the other in the from form of chemical called neurotransmitters such as acetylcholine. synapse is formed by the membranes of a pre-synaptic neuron and a post-synaptic neuron, which may or may not be separated by a gap called synaptic cleft.
