Although a similar set of enzymes are involved in prokaryotic and eukaryotic DNA replication, the latter one is more complex and varied. The initiator proteins, single stranded DNA-binding proteins(SSB), primase, DNA helicase, and DNA ligase are present in both prokaryotes and eukaryotes.
