Homogamy refers to the maturation of the anther and stigma of a plant at the same time. It favours self pollination.

dichogamy refers to the maturation of anther and stigma at different times, thus favouring cross pollination.
dichogamy is of 2 types:
1) protandry( androecium matures first)
2) protogyny(gynoecium matures first)
