The length of parallel sides of trapezium are  40 m and 20 m

1) The area of a Trapezium is given by the formula :

A  = (a+b)*h/2

where a and b are the opposite parallel sides or the bases of the trapezium and h is the height or altitude of the trapezium

2) Here, the given altitude h is 450 square m and the altitude is 15 m

3) Substituting the values in the formula :

450 = (a+b)*15/2

a+b = 450/7.5

a+b = 60 m

4)  Also given a-b = 20 m

Solving, for a and b gives a = 40 m and b = 20 m
