Construction of perpendicular bisector to given line segment:
- Draw a line segment AB = 6.4 cm.
- Now by taking a radius of more than half and center A, draw arcs on either side of AB.
- With the same radius, cut these arc from center B.
- Mark the points of intersection of these arcs as P and Q.
- Join P and Q.
- PQ is perpendicular bisector of AB bisecting AB at C.
- Measuring the distances, we get
AC = CB = 3.2 cm
