Differences between chief minister and governor are-
1)The Governor exercises the executive powers in a State and by the advice of the Chief Minister and his council of Ministers.
2) The Chief Minister and his council of Ministers are appointed by the Governor.
3) However the real power is exercised by the Chief Minister as long as he enjoys majority support in the State Legislative Assembly.
4)The Governor is a ceremonial head except when the State is under the President's Rule.
