Meteors and meteorites have a thing in common, they're all huge chunks of rocks.
The difference is,
Meteors are chunks of rocks that pass through the earth's atmosphere.
Meteorites are chunks of rocks that have survived the friction of the Earth’s atmosphere and have made it to the surface. (Just like some students survive the friction of the educational system and make it through to a job.
