Differences between PS1 and PS2:

PS1:

  • The photo center is P700.
  • PS1 has happened at the outer surface of the grana thylakoid membrane of the leaf.
  • It is riched with chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b.
  • It is not related to the photolysis of the water.

PS2:

  • The photo center is P680.
  • PS2 has happened at the inner surface of the grana thylakoid membrane of the leaf.
  • It is riched with chlorophyll b than the chlorophyll a.
  • It is related to the photolysis of the water.
