Sieve cells don’t have nucleus whereas companion cells do.

Difference between sieve tubes and companion cells :

* Sieve elements only contain ER and mitochondria whereas the companion cells contain ribosomes, nucleus and vacuole as well.

* Sieve elements contain sieve plates where the end walls of two sieve elements meet but companion cells have no sieve plates.
