There are different instruments that are used to measure level and intensity of strain.
The electrical resistance strain gauge is used to measure strain on wires.
It consists of a conductor which is bonded and joined to a career which is fixed to a machine.
On the other hand, a potentiometer is a three-terminal resistor that is used with a voltage divider and it also has a rotating capacity.
