In a sugar solution, the cell is plasmolysed , that is , it is in a flaccid state which is due to the outward movement of water molecules from the cell.
In distilled water , the cell is turgid as the water from the surrounding solution moves inside the cell by osmosis ( as the sap inside the cell is more concentrated).
