Cestodes are tape-li.ke and segmented in shape while trematodes are leaf-like and unsegmented. Cestodes have a head with suc.kers and, possibly, hooks. Trematodes have heads with suc.kers but no ho.oks. Both cestodes and trematodes are hermaphroditic, with the exception of Schistosoma (a genus of trematodes).
