 Elements are pure substances that cannot be decomposed into simpler substances by chemical changes. Or it is a pure substance consisting of only one type of atoms

Compounds are also pure substance that are composed of two or more elements combined in a fixed proportion by mass

Mixtures are substances containing two or more substances either element or compounds or both in any proportion. Substances which form mixture are called components .In a mixture the components don’t loose their identity

While in a compound the constituent elements loose their original identity

The components of a mixture can easily be separated but same is not possible with compounds
