Hi friend, Here is the required answer:-
DIFFUSION
============
1. Diffusion is the movement of particles from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration.
2. Diffusion can take place in any medium.
3. Solids, Liquids and Gases can take part in diffusion.
4.It doesn't need semi-permeable membrane.
5.Example:- Purple- coloured Potassium Permanganate in Water.
OSMOSIS
=========
1. It is the movement of water molecules through a semi permeable membrane from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration
2. Osmosis takes place only in liquid medium.
3. Only solvent part of the solution can take part in this process.
4. It needs a semi permeable membrane.
5.Example:- movement of water molecules through the membrane of our cells.

The passive movement of molecules or particles along a concentration gradient, or from regions of higher to regions of lower concentration is called difusion.
Osmosis is the passive movement of water across a semi permeable membrane. It occurs in the opposite direction to diffusion of ions. Water moves from a region of low solute concentration and therefore high water concentration to a region of high solute concentration and low water concentration.
