Different lenses were used for different eye problems Some of them were :

1)Myopia :

 It is the condition in which near objects can be seen clearly while the  distant objects appear blur.
This defect can be corrected by using diverging or concave lens ....

2)Hypermetropia :

It is the condition in which there is an difficulty in seeing the near objects.
This defect can be corrected by using converging or convex lens...

3) Astigmatism :

In this defect some parts of objects are seen in focus while others are blurred..
This disease can be corrected by using cylindrical lens..

4)Presbyopia :

This is the condition affecting older people who can not see the near objects clearly..
Again this condition is corrected by convex lens...

5)Cataract :

It is the condition in which vision is cut down even lead to total blindness...
This can be corrected by removing the lens surgically and by using spectacles of convex lens....
