✴A pattern of development that promises the use of resources in a way that meet human needs while preserving the environment so that these needs can be met not only in the present, but also for generations to come.

✴It is a need in the present times because the rate of population growth and consumption are rising higher that the the existent resources some of which are non replenishable.
