History is the narrative that gives meaning, sense and explanatory to the past in the present. History is the documented part of the past. I have always considered the past to be something you personally experienced, and history is something that you had to study.

Past history means what you read in your books like Kingdoms of king, when did British came to India, when did Mugal came to India etc. and present history means what did happen in past 40-30 years like 26/11, 100th Mission completed by Indian Commandos called present history.
