Though on 15Aug,1947 India got its Independence but bungled behind it the very thought of real independence. Our freedom fighters envisaged that in independent India civil liberties will not be curtailed further but the Indian democracy had some different conceptualisation. This dichotomy not only distorted coherency of rule but also engendered an apprehensive ideology among the citizens of India.

When we talk of today's scenario where majority of the news channels are either funded by BJP or obliquely controlled by it - the so called freedom cannot be discussed anymore.Anybody raising voice against BJP in any issue needs to embrace himself or herself for the upcoming danger. The murder of Gauri Lankesh,a daring and selfless journalist, not only shows how weak our laws are but also shows how power dominates over truth.
