parenchyma cell are thin having intracellular space while collenchyma cell have deposition of lignin, cellulose hemicellulose on corners and lack intracellular space.
parenchyma work is to store food while collenchyma provid flexibility to young stem of plants and also cause photosynthesis.

PARENCHYMA :
1) parenchyma is most simple and unspecialised primitive tissue.
2) it mainly consists of thin walled cells which have intercellular spaces between them.
3) parenchyma forms the basic packing tissue of plant body that lies in between specialised tissue.
4) it is the most abundant tissue of plants.
5) parenchyma tissue provides mechanical strength due to its high osmotic pressure and compact arrangement
6) parenchymatous cells provide rigidity to plant body due to turgidity and help to maintain shape and fitness of the plant.
COLLENCHYMA:
1) collenchyma is a living tissue off primary body like parenchyma the cells are thin walled but possess thickenings of cellulose ...
2) the tissue provides flexibility to soft aerial parts example , leaves, young stem of plant so that they can bend without breaking.
3) the cells are compact and the intercellular space are absent
4) the collenchymatous cell are generally elongated with oblique and walls .
5) collenchyma is a present at the margins of some leaves and resists tearing effect of the Wind.
6) collenchyma is the chief supporting tissue in young dicotyledonous stems . it provides mechanical support elasticity and tensile strength to the body.
