The difference between parenchyma and collenchyma is:

• Parenchyma:-

1. Function - To store and assimilate food,to provide mechanical strength and store waste products.
2. It contains intercellular spaces

• Collenchyma:-

1. Function- Mechanical support and elasticity
2. Intercellular spaces are absent.
