They trap solar energy and utilise it to manufacture food for the plant. They are green coloured.
2. Chromoplast :
They impart various colours to flowers to attract insects for pollination. They are coloured plastids.
3. Leucoplast:
They store food in the form of Carbohydrates fats and proteins.They are colourless.
