My third standard entrance exam result to a big school is something that still makes me happy. The results were out and I was a bit nervous as I had not written a test before. Neither had I When I went with my relatives to check the result, I found them beaming with joy after checking the notice board. This made me happy as well because although I was confident of clearing the test, I did not expect to be the topper.
All of us were so happy that we went and had two rounds of ice cream right away. The incident also made me so excited that to this day I can recall everything with happiness just like it happened over two decades ago. I also remember going around and sharing happiness with whomever I met. To me, it was like passing the highest Civil Service exam with top marks and a gold medal. I was treated like a princess the whole day and all my heart’s desires were fulfilled.
Today, it still makes me happy to recall that I was the first among many others with no formal schooling before and only a homeschooling background for four years. The whole credit for this goes to my mother without whose tutoring and guidance all this would not have been possible. She spent a lot of time sitting with me patiently and helping me prepare for the exams. But, for her, I would not have cleared the entrance test.
Hope it is HELPFUL :)
