Differentiate between. (a) Water transport in the Amazon and the Ganga river.

(i) River Amazon is navigable throughout its course due to its gentle slope. River Ganga is navigable only in its middle and lower course which is gentler as compared to its upper course. (iii) River Amazon is used for navigation between Brazil and neighbouring countries. River Ganga is used for inland transportation.
