Acute disease : these diseases stay for a short period of time..their duration is not more than two weeks. For ex: common cold.
Chronic disease : these diseases stay for a long period even for the rest of the life.. for ex: typhoid.

CHRONIC DISEASES-
1. these last for a long time , even as much as life time.
2. these cause drastic long term effects on human health.
3. examples - diabetes , cancer etc.
