a general metal or a pure metal is made up of single types of atoms!
where as,
an alloy is a mixture of many metals.
mixture of many metals makes it stronger than than the pure metal!
it also provides a high resistance to corrosion!

metals are homogenous that posses high hardness, strength, lustre, quality etc
pure metals is one have single component in its space lattice.
whereas alloy is hetrogenenous composition of metal and any other element, which hold space lattice of a base metal and other component in it
