Such substances which can be easily broken down by the action of bacteria are named as biodegradable substances. Eg- Paper.
Other substances or material like plastics, metallic cans and pesticides which cannot be broken down easily by biological processes are named as non-biodegradable substances. Eg-Plastic

Biodegradable
- These are the things which do not pollute the environment .
- These things can be used as fertilizior .
- These are naturally made or pre-natural, they are not synthesise with chemical .
- Example of biodegradable can be stool of cow ,leaves, fruits.
- Eventually they are used for making gobar gas .
Non- Biodegradable material
- These are the things which pollute the environment .
- these things can't be used as fertilizer because it makes the soil in proper and imfertile.
- These are chemically synthesized or made in factories .
- Example can be plastic oils etc .
- They kill the aquatic animals and also harmful for the environment .
