Difference between bronchi and bronchioles are...
" The bronchi (bronchus) are the air passages into the lungs that begin at the end of the trachea..The bronchioles or bronchioli are the passage ways by which air passes through the nose or mouth to the alveoli (air sacs) of the lungs in which branches no longer contain cartilage or glands in their sub mucosa."

The bronchi are a part of the zone responsible for conducting air. The amount of cartilage in the walls of the bronchi gradually decreases and disappears after the point where the bronchi divide into smaller airways called bronchioles. The bronchioles are the small terminal branches of the airways in the lungs.
