The first inspector general of India was dietrich brandis
The 3 reforms introduced by him were...
1. Indian forest act of 1865- this act asserted the monopoly of British over Indian land but had many drawbacks.
2. Scientific forestry- natural forests were cut and in their place one type of tree was planted in rows.
3. Indian forest act of 1878- as the act of 1875 had many drawbacks, many amendments were made and the act came to be known as the Indian Forest Act of 1878. It divided the forest into 3 categories: Reserved, Protected and Village Forests.
