CHEMICAL CHANGE

1. Those changes in which new substance are formed,are called chemical changes.

2.they get converted into entirely new substances.

3. The new substances usually cannot be returned to their original shape.

4. chemical changes are permanent change which are usually irreversible.

FOR EXAMPLE-:if we burn a piece of paper then new substance like carbondioxide,water vapour,smoke and ash are produced .So,it is a chemical change.



PHYSICAL CHANGE
1. Those substance in which no new substance are formed,are called physical changes.

2. they can be easily returned to their original form by some physical process.

3. the changes in physical state ,size and shape of a substance are physical change.

FOR EXAMPLE-: when a glass tumbler breaks ,it form many pieces .Each broken piece of glass tumbler is still glass . So, during the breaking of glass tumbler ,only the size and shape of glass changed but no new substance has been formed.So, breaking of glass tumbler is a physical change.
