DISTANCE - The path covered by the object from starting till the ending point. (measuring the whole path covered by that object.)

Example -

An object moved from point A to point B and then again to the point A.

Let the distance between A and B be 5m. So, the total distance covered by that object is (5 + 5+ 5)m = 15m

DISPLACEMENT - The shortest distance between the initial and the final point.

Example -

Consider that same example, the object would cover 0m because it's initial and final point is point A only.

THAT'S DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DISTANCE AND DISPLACEMENT.
