Differentiate between epigeal and hypogeal germination

1.In hypogeal seed germination, epicotyl elongates quickly, pulling the plumule out of the soil surface.In epigeal germination the hypocotyl elongates quickly, pulling cotyledons and plumule above the soil surface. 2.Hypogeal germination is shown by most of monocots like Gram, Pea and Mango. Epigeal germination is shown by most of dicots like Castor.
