Differentiate between foreground colour and background colour

Foreground colour is the front or the main colour but background colour is the colour of back portion i.e. the last layer of colour of the image.

Answer: The major difference between foreground colour and background colour is, a foreground colour is the colour of the brush or pencil. Whereas background colour erases any added colour and replaces it by background colour ,which is white by default.

2. The background color is the colour applied with the eraser tool, it's the ending colour of the default gradient.
