HOMOGENOUS MIXTURES : A homogeneous mixture is a mixture in which all the constituents are distributed uniformly and are not seen distinctly. The properties remain the same throughout the mixture. Brass, Bronze and stainless steel are homogeneous mixtures of two or more metals.

HETEROGENEOUS MIXTURES : A heterogeneous mixture is a mixture in which the the constituent components are not distributed uniformly. The properties does not remain the same throughout the mixture. A heterogeneous mixture can be sand and sugar mixture or a solution of sand in water (heterogeneous solution).
