Homogeneous mixture -Those mixture in which the substance are completely mixed together and are indistinguishable from one another, are called homogeneous mixture. A homogeneous has a uniform composition throughout it's mass.It has no visible boundaries of separation between the various constituents. All the homogeneous mixtures are called solutions.
Ex Sugar solution, salt solutions

Heterogeneous-Those mixture in which the substance remain separate and one substance is spread throughout the other substance as small particals, droplets or bubbles, are called heterogeneous. Doesn't have uniform composition throughout it's mass. It has visible boundaries of separation.
Ex chalk in water, gunpowder
