Mitosis and meiosis play major role in cell division. They have two
processes by which they divide the nucleus and cytoplasm of a cell known
as Karyokinesis and Cytokinesis. The main difference between
karyokinesis and cytokinesis is as follows, during a cell cycle, nuclear
and cytoplasm division also takes place. The division of nucleus and
formation of nuclear envelope around the daughter cell chromosomes at
the end of cell cycle is known as Karyokinesis and division of cytoplasm
is called Cytokinesis. Karyokinesis is usually followed by Cytokinesis.
