The lithosphere and the hydrosphere are both parts of the atmosphere which envelops the entire planet.

The lithosphere here means the land and rocks and the hydrosphere means the water environment.

These are both subsets to the superset lithosphere. The hydrosphere covers about 71% of the earth’s surface where as the remaining accounts for the lithosphere.
