The inner core of the Earth is very hot with a temperature above 5000°C. It is mostly composed of metals such as iron and nickel, at such high temperatures these metals tend to melt and gradually vaporize because iron boils at 2750°C and nickel boils at 2732°C.

Mantle on the other hand, is made up of silicates and is viscous in nature. The temperature of the mantle ranges from 500° to 900°C. It is due to the convection movement of the mantle, the tectonic plates tend to move and cause various natural phenomenons such as Earthquakes or even drifting of continents.

hey here is your answer:-)
The difference in temperature in the mantle accounts for the density of rocks. ... The core consists of extremely hot metal layers instead of rock. Iron and nickel make up the outer section of the core, while the interior is almost entirely iron. The inner core is almost totally solid and shaped like a ball.
hope this helps you dear ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️
