MAX( ) function returns the biggest value from the given set of data. MIN ( ) function returns the smallest value from the given set of data. Suppose, I give you a set of numbers and then ask you to separate the maximum and the minimum value. So, you'll get two numbers.

Differences between MAX and MIN functions are:
MAX function:
- The max() function returns the set's maximum value.
- A query is supplied to the function, and the largest value in the eligible records is returned as the result.
- An argument will be passed as an expression, and it will return the expression's maximum value.
MIN function:
- The min() function is similar to the max() function, but it returns the expression's smallest value.
- This function will take a query as an argument and return the smallest record.
