hello dear here is ur answer

A meteor is the flash of light that we see in the night sky when a small chunk of interplanetary debris burns up as it passes through our atmosphere. "Meteor" refers to the flash of light caused by the debris, not the debris itself.

What is a Meteoroid?

Sometimes asteroids can bump into each other in space, and this can mean small pieces break off.

These smaller pieces of rock are calledmeteoroids .

Meteoroids can be as small as a grain of sand or as large as a metre across.

hope it helps u dear and welcome to brainly
