differentiate between Minerals and ores

Most rocks are “minerals”, but out of these, only the ones that are USEFUL to us are called ORES. Thus, the definition is a bit subjective!

See here:

ore = a naturally occurring mineral or rock from which a valuable or usefulsubstance, especially a metal, can be extracted at a reasonable cost.

The bolded words show why the definition of ores is subjective, variable in time: iron or gold were much sought ores, 2.000 or a hundred years ago, but uranium, wolfram or lithium were not!

Also, new , better extraction methods may qualify as ORES some mineral deposits that previously were thought to be not concentrated enough to be exploited …

brainliest please

jsana0110: While most ores contain minerals not all minerals are ores. A material(rock) must have economical value and be economical to extract,A mineral is an non organic combination of elements with a defined chemical composition.
