Differentiate between monocots and dicots give two differences and one example of each

Monocots :-

1. The seeds of these plants have only one cotyledon.

2. Their leaves have parallel venation.

3. The root system consists of similar fibrous roots.

Examples - Maize, wheat,rice,onion

Dicots :

1. The seeds produced by these plants have embryos with two fleshy leaves, the cotyledons.

2. Their leaves have reticulate venation, with a network of veins.

3. The root system has a prominent tap root.

Examples - Pea, potato, sunflower, rose, banyan.

the main difference is

1) the monocots has one cotylends and the dicot has two cotylendons

2) the monocot seed is so tough and the dicot seed is so soft

3)the leaves of the monocot seed has stains but the dicot seed has less stain

4) in monocot seed the roots are grouped and there were collection of root and in dicot seed the roots  have a single main root and the other root grow from it
