differentiate between multiple cropping and modern farming methods.

Multiple cropping:
1) To grow more than 1 crop on a piece of land during the same year is 'Multiple cropping'.
2)With the improvements of irrigational facilities as a result of better availability of electricity farmers are able to grow 2 main crops i.e Kharif(rice,maze,Miller's.etc.) and Rabi (wheat,barley,etc.)
3)Many farmers are also growing a 3rd crop i.e potato.


Modern Farming:
1)In some parts of the country like Punjab & haryana etc.farmers have increased their production by using modern scientific method which includes using HYV seeds more fertilize, pesticides, improved irrigation techniques & also time saving heavy duty machineries like threshers,harvesters, tractor.etc.
