differentiate between Narmada and tapi basin?

Narmada basin
narmada river originates in amarkantak and its basin is nestled between vindhya and satpura mountain ranges , it covers a large area in Madhya Pradesh . it mainly consists of black soil and is suitable for cultivation of certain crops.
 Tapi  basin 
tapi river which is the second largest inter-state river , originates in Betul district and covers about 2%of the total area of India . It has over 40 tributaries and the basin covers parts of Maharashtra , Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.

Tapi Basin:

  • Tapi river originates from Satpura ranges (in Betul District).
  • It is very short in length as compared to Narmada river.
  • It covers parts of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
