★ NITRIFICATION:- When ATMOSPHERIC NITROGEN is converted into water soluble forms like Nitrate { NO3-} and Nitrite { No2- } .

EX:- AMMONIA is first oxidized to nitrite by the bacteria NITROSOMONAS or NITROCOCCUS

★ DENITRIFICATION :- THE NITRATE AND NITRITE present in soil are reduced to N2 . This process is known as DENITRIFICATION.

EX:- Some Bacterias like PSUEDOMONAS and THIOBACILLUS CONVERT NITRATE / NITRITE INTO ATMOSPHERIC NITROGEN....

2 } Due to THUNDER .. SOME NITRATES ARE CONVERTED INTO NITROGEN....

HOPE IT HELPS YOU ... ^_^

THANK YOU ^_

Nitrification

:

:It is the process of conversion of ammonia to nitrites and to nitrates.

:It is the process of conversion of ammonia to nitrites and to nitrates. This is an intermediate step of nitrogen cycle in which nitrogen is converted into another usable form by bacteria, such as Nitrosomonas.

Denitrification :-

It is the process of reducing back into free nitrates atmospheric nitrogen.

It is the process of reducing back into free nitrates atmospheric nitrogen. This is the last step in which nitrogen is released back into its source, i.e. the atmosphere by Pseudomonas (bacteria)

Hope it's help uh.
