Differentiate between permanent magnet and electro magnet

permanent magnet

1. a permanent magnet have permanent force of attraction. ex. bar magnet

2.It produces a weak force of attraction in respect to electromagnet.

3.the strength of permanent magnet can't be changed.

4. the poles of permanent magnet is fixed. i.e, north pole and south pole

electromagnet

1. an electromagnet have temporary magnet. it shown the property of magnet only when we pass current through it.

2. it can produce a very strong force of attraction.

3. the strength of electromagnet can be changed like when we increase the no. of turns in its coil or by changing the current

4. the poles of this magnet can be changed when we change the direction of its current.
