Petals are the brightly coloured accessory whorls of a flower which helps in reproduction by attracting insects for pollination. the calyx(sepals) and corolla (petals) together join to form an undifferentiated perianth. if the perianth is colourful like the petalslt is called a petaloid.

Petals are non essentail part of Flower . they protect Reproductive part of flower and Make flower attractive
Petaloid sepals- they are undiffentiated sepals together called parianth and non green parianth is called petaloid sepals
