Hey mate, here is your answer,

  • PHYSICAL CHANGES
  1. The changes in which no new substances are formed are called physical changes.
  2. Physical change is temporary change.
  3. Physical change is reversible.
  4. Very little heat or light energy is usually absorbed or given out in a physical change.
  5. The mass of a substance do not alter in a physical change.
  • CHEMICAL CHANGES
  1. The changes in which new substances are formed are called chemical changes.
  2. A chemical change is a permanent change.
  3. Chemical change is irreversible.
  4. A lot of heat or light energy is absorbed or given out in a chemical change.
  5. The mass of a substance does alter in a chemical change.

The above points are the main differences between physical and chemical changes.

Hope this will help you.. :-)

QUESTION:-

Differentiate between physical change and chemical change

ANSWER:-

A change in which no new substance is formed is called Physical Change. A physical change is a temporary change and is reversible.

A Chemical Change is a permanent change in which an entirely new substance is formed with different properties. It is a permanent and reversible change.

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN PHYSICAL CHANGE AND CHEMICAL CHANGE ARE:-

  • In Physical Change no new substance is formed, only physical properties are changed.
  • Whereas, in Chemical Change new substances are formed with entirely different properties.

  • In a Physical Change, these changes are temporary and can be reversed.
  • Whereas, in Chemical Change, these changes are permanent and cannot be reversed.

  • In Physical Change heat or light may not be given out or absorbed.
  • Whereas, in Chemical Change heat or light or both are generally given out or absorbed.

  • In Physical Change usually, there is no loss or gain of weight in these changes.
  • Whereas, in Chemical Changes, these changes are accompanied by a change in the weight of the original substance.
