Differentiate between plant cell and animal cell

Both the plant and the animal cells contain the membrane-bound organelles like the nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, mitochondria, Golgi apparatus, peroxisomes, lysosomes. ... However, few differences do exist between them which are very much significant, reflecting the difference in the function of each cell.

The listed below are the differences that we can observe in the cells of plants and the cells of animals :

1. The cells of plants have a special structure to protect their cell called cell wall but animals do not have it.

2. Plants possesses the organelle called plastids but animals lacks it.

3. In plant cells, centrosome as well as centrioles are not found while cells of animals have these organelles.
